I have been reading up on these two radio flash triggering systems for a bit, but this is the first time I've seen a field test and review conducted. My first impression when the new PWs were announced was that it is an RP killer; now I'm not so sure. In terms of cost, both are expensive systems, and the price is the premium you pay for TTL control. The cheaper options (discounting the Quantums since they only work with their own flashes), like the Phottix/Cactus/eBay triggers, Cybersyncs and Skyports only offer manual control, but you really cannot argue when they are significantly cheaper.
In my opinion, having the option for TTL control is great to have for fast-changing light conditions outdoors, and even for the times when you're feeling lazy and not wanting to run around adjusting flsh output strobe by strobe. That, and the option to control groups from the RP Px, makes it a clear favourite in terms of features.
Click here for the videos on the Radio Popper blog, or just watch them embedded below. A word of warning though: it's a pretty long review.
